Who should consider the Swift Elegance Grande 760?
Who it suits
- Couples or families seeking four berths with a separate island-bed and central-washroom arrangement.
- Tourers whose tow vehicle, route choices and storage arrangements can accommodate a 2.45m-wide caravan with an MTPLM of 1900kg.
Reasons to consider it
- The four-berth specification combines an island bed with a central washroom, supporting a residential-style touring layout.
- The extra-wide body provides more interior width than a standard caravan, according to the supplied editorial record.
- Recorded features include Alde central heating, Swift Command control, a panoramic front sunroof and a 30-litre fresh water tank.
- The listed construction and safety features include SMART construction, Al-Ko ATC and an AKS 3004 stabiliser.
What to check
- Check that the tow vehicle is suitable for the recorded 1900kg MTPLM and that the available payload covers the intended load.
- Verify dimensions, weight limits and layout against the exact vehicle.
- Confirm the exact bed, washroom, heating, control-system and appliance specification for the particular model year and trim.
- Inspect the available payload calculation and verify how equipment, accessories and personal effects affect the 160kg figure.
Worth knowing: The high MTPLM may restrict tow-vehicle choice and route planning. The extra width can be more demanding on narrow country lanes. The supplied price range is £32000 to £46500, but an individual caravan's price depends on its specification and condition.

Ownership checks for the Elegance Grande 760
- Keep the loaded caravan within the recorded 1900kg MTPLM and treat the 160kg payload as a finite allowance for equipment and belongings.
- Allow for the 2.45m width when choosing storage, planning access and negotiating narrow roads.
- Use the four-berth layout as a starting point for loading plans, especially if the island-bed and central-washroom arrangement leaves less flexibility for bulky items.
- Check tyre, chassis and towing documentation against the caravan's recorded dimensions and weight limits.
- Confirm operation of the listed Alde heating and Swift Command systems, including app and touchscreen functions, before committing to a purchase.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Underestimating the practical effect of the 2.45m width when assessing a driveway, storage site or narrow route.
- Treating the 160kg payload as spare capacity without accounting for fitted equipment, accessories and personal effects.
- Assuming all Elegance Grande 760 examples have identical equipment when the supplied evidence says specifications can vary by model year, trim and optional equipment.
Worth knowing: No production years are supplied, so age-related checks must be based on the individual caravan's documents and condition. The supplied data does not provide a separate GVW figure. Arrange a condition and documentation check for any specific example.
