Common questions
Can I buy a brand new caravan for under £20,000?
Yes. Entry-level ranges from Elddis Avante, Compass Casita, and Sprite Alpine start from around £17,000-20,000. These include modern safety features like AL-KO ATC and full manufacturer warranties.
What is included in a new caravan warranty?
Most UK manufacturers offer 3-6 year body warranties and 1-2 year habitation warranties. Check individual dealer terms as these can vary.
Is it worth buying new vs used?
New caravans offer manufacturer warranty, latest safety features, and no damp risk. Used caravans offer better value as depreciation is steepest in years 1-3.
What berth sizes are available under £20,000?
Expect mostly 2 berth models at this price point. Some 4 berth models from budget ranges are available close to £20,000.
Do new caravans come with everything I need?
New caravans include standard equipment but extras like awnings, motor movers, and solar panels are usually optional. Factor in £1,000-3,000 for essential accessories.
