What is a Swivel Seats in a Campervan?

Swivel seats are front cab seats (driver and/or passenger) fitted with rotating bases that allow the seats to turn 180 degrees to face the living area when parked. This clever feature transforms the cab seats into lounge seating, maximising usable space in compact campervans. Swivel seats are particularly popular in VW Transporters and similar vans where every bit of living space matters. They are available as factory options on some motorhomes and can be retrofitted to most vans. The main consideration is that swivel seats cannot be used while driving – they must face forward and be locked.
